Course Overview:
This training package will enable electrical persons to identify high prospective short circuit current situations and arc flash/blast hazards. They will understand how to consider the type of electrical work carried out, the relevance of the boundaries/distance and applying controls, including the correct selection of electrical PPE, in accordance with BHP electrical safe work procedures. All non-electrical workers conducting low voltage isolation will be required to undertake the Arc Flash Hazard and PPE Training.

Working on or near any live low voltage systems involves high levels of risk and shall be carried out with concise levels of planning, understanding of legislative requirements for working with electrical systems and complying with the BHP Safe Work on Low Voltage management plan and Safe Work on Battery Systems procedure.
