Course Overview

The Hazardous Area Classification course gives students the competency to classify hazardous areas and aligns to the requirements outlined in AS/NZS 4761 Competencies for working with electrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA).
This course gives a deep understanding of the process of classifying Hazardous Areas (Potentially Explosive Atmospheres) where areas contain flammable gases, vapours, liquids, and mists. The course also covers the requirements for classifying areas containing flammable dusts, fibres and flyings.

Whilst there are no prerequisites for this course it is anticipated that the attendees are in a senior technical position to understand the complexities of classifying a hazardous area. It is an advanced technical course and not suitable for entry level tradespersons.
