4 days classroom-based training plus self-paced workplace evidence gathering.

4 days classroom-based training in the Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Installation and Maintenance course plus self-paced workbook, recognition of prior learning and/or credit transfer.

The EEHA course will take place at our Canning Vale location.

Participants are typically required to hold a UEE30811 – Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (Electrical Licence or equivalent).

Instrumentation Technicians and Engineers may be eligible for a full or partial statement of attainment. Please contact us for more information.

The units of competency issued under this qualification include 19 units or competency credit transferred from your electrical licence and 21 units of competency delivered as part of the EEHA course plus self-paced workbook, recognition of prior learning and/or credit transfer.

The Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas course gives students the competency to undertake electrical work in a hazardous area and aligns to the requirements outlined in AS/NZS 4761 Competencies for working with electrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA).

Through the blended combination of theory and practical activities, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to report, inspect, install, maintain and attend breakdowns of electrical equipment in a potential explosive environment.

Our practical training facility, and portable onsite boards, allows the course participants to apply the knowledge gained in the classroom on functioning Hazardous Area (HA) equipment delivering a truly immersive competency based training experience.

The UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas – Electrical Qualification gives students the competency to undertake electrical work in a hazardous area and, with its national units of competency within the course, aligns to the requirements outlined in AS/NZS 4761 Competencies for working with electrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA).

Through the combination of the face to face delivery of the Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas course and onsite workplace experience, participants will have the knowledge and skills to supervise, report, inspect, install, maintain and attend breakdowns of electrical equipment in a potentially explosive environment.
